 AWUTUMAN PREPARATORY SCHOOL.
Awutuman Preparatory School is a tuition free school founded to educated poor children in our district and surrounding communities. The school is  registered under the Ghana education service and located at Kwaman New Town which shares  boundary with Awutu Bawjiase in the Central Regional part of Ghana, West Africa. This community is a rural developing community with limited social amenities. The school was established September 13, 2005. 

Awutuman Preparatory School was founded by: Nai Adawu Duaquaye VII sub chief of Awutu States. Currently, the population of the school has increased to 300 Pupils from the Nursery Department to the Junior High School.
We currently have  fouteen Teaching Staffs and Three Cooks. The school runs under the regulations of Ghana Education Service and operates by the carriculum of Ghana Education Service. The performance of past Pupils from our school in the National Examinations has been excellent.

Ghana (Buduburam Refugee Settlement)

The objective is to coach individuals, Train local schools on the camp on Lifeskills for Return for  Buduburam based schools.

Number of Schools/Participants: 50 school teachers, church groups, CBOS and community leaders residing on the Buduburam Refugee settlement.

Duration: 2 weeks training and 1 week field visit

Venue: Buduburam Refugee settlement, Gomoa District, Accra-Ghana

Topics:  Lifeskills building, CV, motivation letter writing, Job search skills, Micro Business and loan and Community Volunteering.(To be develop in the TOR)

Liberia (Mental Health Training Project)

The pilot project in Liberia is a Mental Health Training Program in addition to our ongoing activities and we will need three or more consultants/volunteers especially in the area of Mental Health, Trainers on CBO/NGO Management, Community development and Sports, Peace building related topics.

Being a direct result of our PTSD research survey conducted with Professor Lucinda from Indiana State University, it is accepted that most of Liberians and other West Africans need continual psycho social counseling.

The project shall be implemented in the cross-sections of the Makona river region, but shall be piloted for six months in the seventeen political districts of  Montserrado - Monrovia before it shall be solicited unto a regional endorsement.

Montserrado County, the piloting site  of the project is the most populated area of the fifteen political subdivisions. It is the county containing the capital City of Liberia. Thus it is basically heterogeneous. The fifteen political districts are inhabited by people from the other Counties, tribal backgrounds and other factors which could be studied before implementing. The county is ideal with different types of communities (slum, semi slum, estates,) and other communities. 

Volunteers will provide TOT for a number of Schools and Participants including fifteen (15) of PAC staffs and 10 selected candidates will attend the TOT. 

The duration will range from 2 Weeks for the TOT and 2 weeks follow up and implementation of the  Mental Health project.

Venue: Monrovia (  Montserrado, Monrovia-Liberia).

Topics: project Management, Proposal writing among others that will be develop in the TOR of each volunteers.

Guinea (Agriculture and Micro Credit)

The objective of the Guinea project is to provide an institutional support to women, staffs and disable Associations in the Guinea forest region. The project will be implemented in collaboration with the http://www.westafricamininglogistic.com/.

 Number of Schools/Participants: 50 Women and 30 Men from the Guinea forest region (Macenta and Gueckedou)

Duration: 2 weeks and 2 weeks follow up and field visits.

Venue: Macenta, Guinea

Topics: Business Management, Environment management and Agriculture, Micro credit and loans etc,,,

Sierra Leone (Support to Orphanages/ homes)

Number of Schools/Participants: 20 Staffs and 10 community leaders with the Kono and Bo region districts.

Duration: 2 weeks training and 2 weeks field visits and implementation.

Venue: Kono                                   Approximate Cost: 5000 USD

Topics: Orphanage homes management, Child protection, Human Rights, Health Education.
